Our client needed to carve out a functional work-from-home space in their apartment without boxing themselves into a cramped, shadowy room. Noise and temperature control were also key concerns, particularly in an open-plan layout. The space in question? A dining area that needed to double as an office—without compromising either role.

The top guide track was fixed to a suspended ceiling, ensuring smooth and secure operation without placing stress on the overhead structure.
For spaces where ceiling mounting can be tricky or impractical, the A100 system is incredibly versatile. With both surface-mounted and recessed track options available, it can be adapted to carpet, ceramic tiles, or floating floor systems with ease.
We also opted for a symmetrical door configuration, which reduces the required width for the reveal. This approach helped keep the opening streamlined and less visually intrusive, while still offering a generous clearance of over 65%—meaning most of the opening is usable space when the doors are fully open.

The final result is a beautifully executed partition that ticks every box. The new office space is quieter, better insulated, and visually distinct, yet still connected to the rest of the apartment. Best of all, when guests arrive or mealtimes come around, the doors glide open effortlessly to return the space to its original purpose.
Thanks to the soft-close option on the top track system, sliding the panels open and shut is smooth and silent—a small detail that makes a big difference in daily use.
